My goal, as an artist, is to create art that is beautiful, as well as functional.  I find sanctuary and inspiration through the entire process: from photographing nature to hand painting dyes on silk to putting finishing touches on each piece in my studio.  I would like to share this same joy with you.

Silk-under-Glass: Most of the pieces you will see here are my Silk-under-Glass plates and trays.  I developed this technique to create functional art using my original photographs and silk paintings.  This technique produces a beautiful, translucent effect; the glass protects the silk and preserves its luminosity.  A unique characteristic of this process is that you may view the image from the front, as well as the back of the glass. These pieces are hand washable and food-safe.

Enjoy my work as fine art or as unique serving dishes.  They look lovely displayed on a wall, easel or tabletop and make wonderful gifts for all occasions.  All pieces are handmade individually by me and are available in sizes from 6" to 20" in several shapes.  Most of the materials I use in my work are made in America.
